Andrew Draper

Andrew Draper is currently the president of Lighthouse Communications, a sole proprietorship media relations and marketing firm providing local commercial and governmental agencies with copywriting, photographic and media consulting services. Lighthouse Communications uses Andrew's talent and a vast contact network developed during years of professional journalism to benefit his clients.

Andrew is also a freelance journalist for several local publications in the Prescott, AZ area. He has written hundreds of lifestyle feature, sports, hard news and political commentary pieces over the past six years.

In his five years as a staff reporter and managing editor for Prescott Newspapers Inc. (2000-2005) he wrote for The Prescott Valley Tribune, The Prescott Daily Courier, The Big Bug and Canyon Country News and The Chino Valley Review. These stories were routinely reprinted in the parent company’s other publications throughout northern Arizona.

Andrew specialized in investigative journalism and writing the uplifting ‘interesting every-man’ story. His investigative work routed out political corruption, created political discussion, social awareness and precipitated positive social change.

He also employed his award-winning photographic skills to use images to enhance the reader’s experience.

 These efforts earned him more than a dozen Arizona Newspapers Association and in-company excellence awards including an unprecedented three consecutive ANA ‘Best Series or Continuing Coverage’ awards in his circulation class.
